A prayer

Let us turn our heads in the same direction and hum together

For what has been decreed from above

is true and right  

or at least a necessity

Just as God should,

he has the kingdom and the power

to kill

by silence any time

turn his back and be silent

drown you in the humming of blackmailed souls

Let us turn our heads in the same direction and hum together

As long as God keeps secreting milk

drop by drop

from his stingy breasts

let us hum together,

turn our heads in the same direction,

hang in there, tooth and nail

not looking up,

down,

not looking at each other.
